Things to note
If you are a regular reader of La Ca or are using this website to plan your travels, please take a few minutes to read this page.
Everything changes
While every effort is made to ensure that guides are up to date and accurate at the time of writing, it is inevitable that some details will be outdated or no longer accurate by the time you read them. This is especially true in Vietnam, a country that is currently experiencing rapid economic growth, rapid social change, and rapidly developing infrastructure. Nothing stays the same for long in Vietnam over the years.
It's all free
When evaluating the accuracy of guides, please note that all content on La Ca is completely free, independently researched, and personally produced. None of my guides charge readers a fee. Anyone who tells you otherwise should be considered or is deliberately misleading you for purposes known only to them.
How to Measure Accuracy
When reading one of my guides, articles, or reviews, there are a few ways to gauge how accurate the information is and how up-to-date it is, and then adjust your expectations accordingly.
When reading any of my guides or reviews, look for the Published Date above the article title. This will tell you when the content was originally written or when it was last updated. In some cases, the guide may not have been updated in several years. If this is the case, then obviously many of the details are no longer accurate. I try to prioritize updating guides based on their popularity, but this depends on my time and resources.
Comments & Social Media
There is a comment section at the end of every article. Check out the comments on the article you are reading to find updates and additional information from other readers. Comments are also date-stamped, so you can see how old/new they are. Some posts will have a lot of comments, some will have a few, and some will have none. You can also follow La Ca on my social media channels (Facebook , Twitter), where I occasionally post brief updates.
Opinion & Subjectivity
When it comes to the comments section of a guide, please note that I cannot vouch for the content of other readers who write comments, although I obviously expect them to be as honest and accurate as possible. Details like road conditions or prices are completely subjective depending on the perspective of each person. Of course, my opinion is also completely subjective. Like everyone else, my ideas and opinions are subject to change. Therefore, some of the views I have expressed in previous articles, guides, or reviews may not necessarily represent my current views.
Can help La Ca
There are a number of ways readers can help keep La Ca's content accurate and up-to-date, which I encourage and greatly appreciate. However, before you comment or email me, please read the comment etiquette for more details.
Write a comment
If you have updated information, you can mention it in my guide by posting a comment at the bottom of the relevant article. Comments are extremely useful: not only for me but also for other La Ca readers. Every article on La Ca has a comment section at the bottom of the page. Anyone can comment: you don't have to be a 'subscriber' or a 'member'. Just fill in the form, write your comment and click 'Submit'.
Send Email
You can also email me with updates (truong11t2@gmail.com). However, comments are better because they are public so all other readers of that page will be able to see them and benefit from the information you provide.
Thank you to everyone who has commented on La Cà or emailed me with suggestions, updates, ideas or just friendly exchanges. Please keep doing so - it benefits me and all La Cà readers.
